Student Leadership Retreat

The students travelled in the evening on Friday night after the L.A. traffic disippated somewhat.  We enjoyed clear skies (oh, the stars!), cool breezes and good fellowship.  We had a full day on Saturday with a prayer hike, visioning, planning, recreation, and great food (thanks to Tanya!).  Daniel Looking towards Lake Arrowhead Aaron and Masha Finley on SUP's for First Time The students on the team are in the process of earning Ph.D.'s in physics, bioengineering, electrical engineering and philosphy.  One of our students is earning a masters degree in engineering.  For these hard working young adults, not only did they get the much-needed rest and relaxation they needed but it gave them the opportunity to prayerfully consider how to engage the new school year with more intentionality and focus for the Graduate Christian Fellowship. Family Camp

During our week at camp we enjoyed many activities for people of all ages.  Each of the boys had programs and recreational opportunities for their ages.  The adults enjoyed daily study of 2 Timothy together as an entire group, good food, games, and new friends. Midweek, we hiked from the camp to Avalon.  It was a steep climb but we all made it. Top of the hill Looking back to camp Harbor at Avalon The boys showing their fatigue.
